COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A judge Tuesday morning determined there is enough probable cause to send Homajean Grisham III’s murder case to an upcoming grand jury.
Grisham III is accused of stabbing Jessica Nicole Broadfoot multiple times. Her body was found on the side of a roadway on June 28, 2013.
Tuesday’s hearing lasted 45 minutes. The judge heard testimony from the investigator about statements Grisham made about Broadfoot.
The investigator said on the stand Broadfoot was stabbed at least 16 times. In fact, they stopped counting at that point. Preliminary autopsy results say she died from a stab wound to the heart.
