Police Search Tracks Around Oakwood Ave. for Person Possibly Hit by Train

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - HEMSI officials told WHNT News 19 that they received a call about a possible person hit by a train that was crossing near Oakwood Avenue and Lee High Drive.

Monday around 9:30 p.m., a caller told HEMSI officials that a person had possibly been hit by a train.  HPD and medical responders immediately stopped the train and began to search for the possible victim.

They searched for about an hour.  They did find some people near the tracks, but did not find anyone who had been hit.The stopped train caused traffic to be blocked at different streets from Oakwood Avenue to Meridian Street.
