Search Suspended After Body of Former Auburn Basketball Player Found

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WHNT) – Panama City Police they started searching for Korvotney Barber Saturday night after he disappeared while swimming.

Today, investigators say a man found the body of the 26-year-old on Panama City Beach.

While police believe Barber drowned, his body is being sent to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death.

Water conditions were hazardous when Barber went missing.  Double red flags were flying on the beach warning swimmers to stay out of the water.

Auburn basketball coach Tony Barbee and Athletic Director Jay Jacobs both mentioned the loss on Twitter today.
