HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Alabama’s June unemployment numbers are in and Madison County’s numbers are up, but statewide numbers are down to 6.5 percent.
Madison County’s numbers rose from 5.5 percent in May to 6 percent last month.
Last month the statewide number was 6.8 percent.
Cullman County was among the lowest rates, standing at 5.6 percent.
Wilcox, Perry, and Dallas counties had the highest rates.
