MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Work to replace the Indian Creek Bridge on Blake Bottom Road was initially scheduled to begin in early July. Flooding pushed the work back, and now work is finally set to begin, July 22nd.
The project will completely replace the old bridge, while expanding and widening it to accommodate the approximately 17,000 vehicles that drive down the road each day.
Drivers who travel Blake Bottom Road between Jeff and Indian Creek Roads will have to take an alternate route.Possible routes include Bishop Road or Indian Creek, Old Monrovia, Douglass or Jeff Roads.
Construction is expected to last about five months.
