HOOVER, Ala. (WHNT) -- It's a fan frenzy at SEC Media Days in Hoover. Fans from all over the southeast are traveling into the Birmingham-area in hopes of catching a glimpse of their favorite coach or players.

"I grew up in Florida, you either choose Florida or FSU and we're Gators," said Jon Justice. Justice and his son, Nata, are sharing a nice father-son bonding moment Tuesday at SEC Media Days.

"We just thought it would be cool to come out and see maybe the coach, some of the players that we root for on Saturday's," he said. The Justices' are from Birmingham but other fans are traveling extremely long distances for the event.

"I flew up from Arcadia, Arcadia is 650 miles from here," said Lee Massengale. Massengale came all the way from Florida. He's been attending SEC Media Days since 2007.

"I just like to follow football," he said. "I think all the people here have football in common, even though we may be for different teams."

John Olive was another person who made the trip. He was camping out for a glimpse of his favorite Gator's coach, WIll Muschamp.  Olive has attended SEC Media Days before and he's had luck before with autographs. However, the ones that he received weren't really up to his standards, in his opinion.

"I got Mark Richt and Nick Saban, but I don't really care about them, I like seeing Will Muschamp," said Olive.

The crowd was pretty big Tuesday but everyone is expecting an even larger group over the next two days. Auburn's Gus Malzahn will make an appearance tomorrow. The Crimson Tide's Nick Saban is on deck for Thursday afternoon.
