South Pittsburg Cleans Up Muddy Damage From Flooding
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. (CNN/WTVC) – Severe flooding carried up to eight inches of mud into some homes and businesses in southern Tennessee.
Heavy rain forced a creek over its banks in South Pittsburg on Thursday morning, causing some of the worst damage residents say they’ve seen in years.
They’ve been busy cleaning it up since Thursday.
The elementary school in South Pittsburg flooded, destroying a brand-new gym floor and causing about a half a million dollars in damage.
