Chamber Of Commerce Sees BRAC-Funded School Projects As Key To Success
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – On Monday, the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce will come together with school district leaders to review BRAC-funded projects in three school systems.
Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County school systems cumulatively received $147 million in BRAC funding that will go toward various renovation and building projects.
Lucia Cape, with the Chamber, says the projects, in addition to investments in a digital curriculum, more advanced placement opportunities for students, and other areas of growth in the school systems can only mean success for the city and county as a whole.
“Property values and the value of your home are based on the success of school in your neighborhood,” said Cape.
Cape referred to the Huntsville’s slogan, as a “smart place to live, work, and play,” saying the better the education system is, the more businesses and families will want to move to Huntsville and Madison County.
