Belle Foods To Close 13 Stores, Including 2 In Decatur & Florence
DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – At a hearing Wednesday, a U.S. Bankruptcy judge approved a proposal for Belle Foods to close 13 grocery stores, two of which are in north Alabama.

Food World at 2019 6th Avenue South in Decatur is one of the stores that will close. The other, a Belle Foods, formerly a Food World, is at 1604 Florence Boulevard in Florence.
Other stores in Alabama are Food Worlds in Gadsden and Mobile. These stores are expected to close by August 3.
The company is approximately $42 million in debt.
