HENAGAR, Ala. (WHNT) — Police say two young men died Monday night in a wreck in the DeKalb County town of Henagar.

Alabama State Troopers say the accident happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Alabama Highway 75 and County Road 138.  Troopers say the driver of the truck veered off the road and hit a tree after crossing into the wrong lane of traffic.

Henagar Police Chief Randall Smith identified the two men who died as Joey Madison Giles, 18, and James Troglan, 22.  Giles was driving the truck.

Chief Smith said speed was a factor.  No other vehicles were involved.

Police continue their investigation.
