FLORENCE — The University of North Alabama football team will now open its 2013 season at home on Thursday night, September 5 against Miles College with the Gulf South Conference’s announcement that it will televise the game as part of the GSC-TV package.

UNA was originally scheduled to host Miles on Saturday, Sept. 7.

That opener will be one of five home games for the Lions in 2013 as UNA will also host Delta State, West Georgia, Texas A&M-Kingsville and West Alabama as part of a stellar home slate. The Lions will play four of their first six games at home and will then close the season with three long road trips over the final four weeks, traveling to Valdosta Ga., Palm Bay, Florida and Stephenville, Texas.
