Madison City Schools Announces 2013 Teachers and Staff Members of the Year

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - The Madison City School System has released its 2013 teacher and staff member of the year for each of its schools.

Nominated by coworkers, each teacher and staff member completed an application process and was selected by local school committees.

The 2013 teacher of the year and staff member of the year for Madison City Schools are as follows. Teachers are listed first:

-Bob Jones High School: Jeremy Raper, Nancy Reyes
-James Clemens High School: Keith Anderson, Yesy Gonzalez
-Liberty Middle School: Ambra Johnson, Angie Prall
-Discovery Middle School: Caroline Miller, Elaine Steigerwalt
-Columbia Elementary School: Joan Comer, Debbie McDaniels
-Heritage Elementary School: Mrinal Joshi, Ross Hammons
-Horizon Elementary School: Pam Weaver, Carla Hinger
-Madison Elementary School: Laura Ruffin, Fiona Gordon
-Mill Creek Elementary School: Lisa Large, Jody Barney
-Rainbow Elementary School: William Smoak, Jeanie Moore
-West Madison Elementary School: Toni Daniel, Linda Moe

The Transportation employee of the year is Traci LeMaire.
