Austin Lockard Pleads Guilty In Lincoln County Man’s Death

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (WHNT) – Austin Lockard has pleaded guilty in a young man’s death last year in Lincoln County.

Lockard pleaded guilty to reckless vehicular homicide and received a four-year sentence.  He was preparing to stand trial in the death of Bradley Durham.

Durham was found dead the night of August 19, 2012 on the side of Highway 110 between Johnson Road and Childress Road, just over the state line.  He lived nearby.

Lockard, the suspected driver of the car, was charged with reckless endangerment, failure to render aid, aggravated assault and criminal responsibility, while a 17-year-old passenger was charged with criminal responsibility.  The person’s charges were dropped.
