One Killed In Wreck On Highway 67 In Decatur
DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – One person died in a wreck Tuesday morning in Morgan County. It happened around 10:30 a.m. in front of J&L Mobile Home Park on Highway 67 in the Decatur city limits.
Police say Andrea Leann Jeffreys, 29, was driving a Ford Mustang eastbound. Witnesses said the Mustang began to fishtail and crossed over into the westbound lanes, and was hit in the passenger side by a Honda CrossTour headed west.
Police say the passenger in the Mustang, Henry Thomas Parkerson, died at the scene. Parkerson was 40 and lived in Madison.
The driver of the Honda, Andrew Wright III of Mountain Brook, was taken to Decatur Morgan Main with non-life threatening injuries.
Jeffreys, of Decatur, was flown to Huntsville Hospital. Police say her injuries were also non-life threatening.
Decatur Police continue their investigation.
