DeJour Waiting For Adoption
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – DeJour is 10 and will be in the 6th grade this fall.
He likes to read and makes A’s & B’s.
Lee asks “Do you have to study a lot?”
DeJour answers “Yes Mam”
Dejour receives special education services and had a good year with his teacher.
He’s very outgoing, he loves to play football and basketball and plays through the upward program at his church.
To Dejour, foster care is a safe place.
“It means I’m in a place with not my mom.” DeJour describes
Dejour wants to be adopted.
“Oh yeah, I wanna be adopted with my brother, oh yeah!” DeJour says
“Why would it be important for y’all to stay together?” Lee asks
“Cause I can see him all the time, I could say goodnight and good morning.” DeJour says
