HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – DeJour is 10 and will be in the 6th grade this fall.

He likes to read and makes A’s & B’s.

Lee asks “Do you have to study a lot?”

DeJour answers “Yes Mam”

Dejour receives special education services and had a good year with his teacher.

He’s very outgoing, he loves to play football and basketball and plays through the upward program at his church.

To Dejour, foster care is a safe place.

“It means I’m in a place with not my mom.” DeJour describes

Dejour wants to be adopted.

“Oh yeah, I wanna be adopted with my brother, oh yeah!”  DeJour says

“Why would it be important  for y’all to stay together?” Lee asks

“Cause I can see him all the time, I could say goodnight and good morning.” DeJour says

And goodbye to foster care.  Lee Marshall WHNT News 19.
