HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – On Thursday, June 13, Hammad Memon was ordered to pay $14,365 in restitution to Towanda Moore in the 2012 murder of Todd Brown at Discovery Middle School.
On Tuesday, May 28, Memon pleaded guilty to Brown’s murder. Madison County Circuit Judge Karen Hall sentenced Memon to 30 years in prison. Memon will also pay a $10,000 fine along with the restitution. Read more about Memon’s guilty plea on WHNT.com.
A civil suit names Memon, his parents, Madison City Schools Superintendent Dee Fowler and former Discovery Middle School Principal Sharon Willis. The trial date is set for June 17.
