Update: Birmingham Child Found Safe, Mother In Custody

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WHNT) – Jamari Knox, B/M, age 5, has been located.

There was a statewide missing child alert issued for him late Thursday evening.  His non-custodial mother, Daphne Moore, reportedly took him from DHR Thursday afternoon.

ABC 33/40 reports an investigative team found the two around 12:10 a.m. Friday.

The child is fine, and is now back in DHR custody.  The mother is in police custody.
