HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Calling all veterans!  There will be a job seminar Thursday to teach veterans — with or without disabilities — how to get an edge in applying for a federal job.

Redstone Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) and Still Serving Veterans will host a free USAJOBs workshop for Veterans called ”Navigating the Federal Hiring Process” on June 6th from 9:30-11:30am at the Huntsville/Madison County Library.

This training will give participants a competitive edge in the federal hiring process:
•    They’ll gain a better understanding of the USA Staffing process and Application Manger requirements and processing.
•    They’ll learn about the resume application process.
•    They’ll get tips to make a resume stand out among others.
•    They’ll find out about special considerations/appointment authorities in federal hiring.

The bottom line to this seminar is sharing with participants how to put together a successful federal application.

All veterans, from any era, with or without a disability are welcome.  You will need to bring proof of service & your resume.

Space is limited.  Veterans can register by contacting Tom Armstrong at Still Serving Veterans at (256) 883-7035 or email tarmstrong@stillservingveterans.org.
