Superintendent Fowler Issues Statement on Memon’s Guilty Plea

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison City School Superintendent Dr. Dee Fowler has issued a statement on the guilty plea entered by Discovery Shooter Hammad Memon.

“The events of February 2010 affected many lives. We hope that today’s action brings some small sense of closure to those whose lives have been irreparably altered,” said Folwer.

Fowler has been superintendent of the Madison school district since 2007. Prior to that, he served as assistant superintendent for two years.

Fowler is named in a civil suit that also names Hammad Memon, his parents, and former Discovery Middle Principal Sharon Willis.
