Car Ignites House Fire in Lawrence County
SPEAKE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Lawrence County Fire Department fought a fire overnight.
Firefighters responded to a call around 11:30 Friday night that a car was on fire inside the garage of a home in Speake, off of County Road 327.
Emergency responders say the fire spread through the garage into the attic, causing the roof to collapse. The house is considered a total loss.
There was one person home at the time of the fire, but they were not hurt.
