Cancer Prevention Study: Local Participants Needed

Cancer… either you, or someone you know, has been touched by disease.  Now, you have a chance to help find a cure.  The American Cancer Society celebrated their 100th birthday by announcing a new cancer prevention study they need your help with..  the A-C-S is looking for 500 Huntsville residents to participate in their `Cancer Prevention Study Three`.  Oncologist Jim McCarty with the Center for Cancer Care says the study will “determine which features are attributed to cancer so that we can avoid those with the ability to decrease our cancer rates and improve our cure rates.’                                Enrollment in the Huntsville area will take place July 13-18.  Click here for more information on the study.  Your appointment should last 20-30 minutes. The more comprehensive survey completed at home will take approximately 45 – 60 minutes. Following enrollment, you will receive mailed surveys at home every few years to update your information.
