Athens City School Board Names New Superintendent

ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) – The Athens City School Board has named William “Trey” Holladay as the system’s new superintendent.

Holladay come to Athens from Oxford High School in Oxford, AL, where he served as principal.

Holladay’s contract calls for an annual salary of $126,000, plus a vehicle allowance and health insurance.¬† Holladay takes over this summer following the retirement June 30 of Norman Bridges, who has served as Superintendent of Athens City Schools for the past 10 years and has 41 years of service in education.
