Memorial Parkway Reopens 4 Hours After Dump Truck Hits Cable
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Memorial Parkway northbound and southbound is back open, four hours after a dump truck clipped a fiber optic cable.
The cable was hit just after 3:15 a.m. as crews were working on a paving project. Huntsville Police shut down all lanes of the Parkway between Airport Road and Byrd Spring Road while AT&T crews worked to raise the cable, which is estimated to cost as much as $20,000.Submit Your Photo
