Candidate will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and multimedia developers to analyze and design Department of Defense courseware. Using the standard ISD (Instructional Systems Design) process, he/she will create training and performance support materials for CD, web-based, mobile device and Learning Management System (LMS) delivery. He/she will be responsible for conducting requirements analysis, creating storyboards, developing objectives and activities, and applying ISD strategies to the design of multimedia based training courses. Some travel may be required.
BA (4 years experience in lieu of degree) in Education, Instructional Design, or related field strongly preferred; or equivalent training.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years experience as an Instructional Designer or curriculum developer. Demonstrated ability to use the ADDIE process to develop instructor led or multimedia based courseware in a deadline driven setting. Demonstrated skill in the application of basic grammar, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure. Ability to conduct a front-end analysis, write objectives, and use various instructional strategies in training design. Expert user of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work with Subject Matter Experts and to work in a team environment. Experience with Department of Defense courseware development and training requirements. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with DoD distance learning and various LMSs. Experience with system simulation tools such as Macromedia Captivate and authoring tools such as Trivantis Lectora. Experience with Automated Systems Approach to Training (ASAT) or the Training Development Capability (TDC).
