Single-Vehicle Wreck Sends 3 to Hospital
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A single-vehicle wreck sent three people to the hospital around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday night. It happened near the intersection of Patton Road and Drake Avenue.
Police say the car was traveling on Patton Road when the driver lost control and slammed into a ditch. Officials say the driver and two passengers were entrapped in the car. It took firefighters and the rescue squad to remove the roof and doors of the vehicle so everyone could get out. HEMSI transported all three people to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. According to police, the driver and passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries but a second passenger is in critical condition.
Huntsville Police closed Patton Road down to investigate the wreck. It has re-opened as of Wednesday morning.
