HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - A touch of Hollywood came to Huntsville Tuesday night.
The Redheads and Copperheads premiere at Monaco Pictures had all the makings of a red carpet…or purple carpet event!
“This is only the 2nd public screening of the film which doesn’t open nationwide until June 28th.” Director Ron Maxwell said.
Maxwell teamed with Kids to Love for two world-class music and movie premieres.
Max Bennett, serves on the Kids to Love Foundation board.
“This guy is on the premium list and he’s associated himself with Kid to Love while we’re trying to raise money to help kids looking for their forever family, it’s epic for us!”
The spotlight on the silver screen helped to reinforce the message of family.
“By coincidence one of the important supporting roles in the film is the character of Jimmy and Jimmy as we learn as the film progresses is the adopted son.” Ron Maxwell said.
Maxwell’s movie ‘Copperhead’ headlined the night. There was also a lot of buzz about our “you Rescued Me” Video we hope will change lives for foster children.
Mayor Troy Trulock and his wife Dana attended the event, he shared “You & your Kids to Love Foundation have been fantastic for the TN Valley, as I recall I think you’ve helped over 150,000 children in foster care, we’re just so proud to be a part of it and help celebrate with you.”
Proceeds from the night support Kids to Love’s programs, as we work to meet the needs of foster children. Even if you couldn’t attend, you can still help us raise money…and it won’t cost you any money.
