DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) - A Decatur city jailer has been arrested after police say he exchanged tobacco for pills.

Investigators say Justin Fortenberry gave an inmate tobacco, then met a third party at a grocery store to get Lortabs.

Fortenberry resigned from his position, and is now in the Morgan County Jail.

He was just shy of five years of service with the city.
