HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Do you know a young boy or girl who is crazy about toy cars and trucks?  This Saturday, May 11, you will have the chance to take them to go hands-on with the real deal.

Sci-Quest is hosting its annual Hands-on Trucks event at the Hands-on Science Center.  From 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., kids can get behind the wheel of their favorite vehicle and meet the men and women who drive them.

There will be an array of vehicles at the event, from the Blue Bell Ice Cream truck to WHNT News 19′s own Skylink satellite truck and Storm Hunter 19.

Visit WHNT News 19 at Hands-on Trucks to see the technology that enables us to edit and transmit video in the field.  We will also have cameras on hand so you can see what it’s like to be a reporter!

In past years at Hands-on Trucks, there have been military Humvees, fire trucks, construction equipment, ambulances, S.W.A.T. team trucks, cement trucks, and the American Red Cross Blood-Mobile, just to name a few vehicles in attendance.

For more information about Hands-on Trucks and to see a list of confirmed vehicles, visit www.sci-quest.org.
