HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) - A local woman got quite a surprise after she welcomed her boyfriend home from Qatar on Wednesday.
The 152nd Military Police Company arrived at the Hartselle Civic Center shortly before 12 p.m. Sgt. Corey Cato was part of the group, but his girlfriend, Laura Cross didn't know Cato had something else up his sleeve.
After the crowd moved inside, Sgt. Cato went on stage and got the microphone. He asked Cross to come on stage and he got down on one knee, asking her for her hand in marriage.
Laura said yes! WHNT News 19 offers our congratulations to the happy couple. They both live in Decatur.
