LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A father and daughter lost their home Sunday night to a fire. Fire crews responded to a fire call just after 11:00 p.m. on County Road 225, just north of Alabama Highway 24.
It took crews about an hour to get the fire out, but nothing was able to be saved. The roof collapsed on one end of the home; smoke and water damaged the rest. The father and daughter who lived at the home were not there at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
