FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – A Florence girl will stand trial for the stabbing death of another teenager.

On September 23 at 8:30 a.m., Autumn Wood will go before judge and jury for the murder of Brooklyn Hollis.

The crime was in March 2012.  Police say the two teens got in a fight, and Wood was on top of Hollis, exchanging blows.  Police say Wood grabbed a knife and stabbed Hollis through the heart.

Wood was 17, and Hollis was 14.  Wood will be tried as an adult, as she was denied youthful-offender status in Jan.
