AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT)-- A Tuscumbia couple said "I do" underneath the Toomer's Corner Oak Trees.  It's a wedding Toni Beth Holland and Ray Sapp had planned for sometime, but they knew that if they were to do it before the trees are cut down, this weekend would be it.

"We wanted to do it before the trees came down this week," said Holland.  "Definitely.  And during all this when everybody was just here celebrating this special time.  It's sad but it's special at the same time.  So it's something we will always remember."

The couple met while working at Wise Alloys in Muscle Shoals.  They are both huge Auburn fans and have season tickets.

Early last week they went on Twitter looking for help with getting the ceremony performed.  Cliff McCollum found out from an Auburn blogger that the couple was in need.

"He kind of tweeted that some Auburn fans needed an officiant to do their wedding at Toomers Corner," said McCollum.  Some of my friends tweeted and said Cliff you really need to do this."

So McCullum told the couple they could kiss the bride and shouts of "War Eagle" could be heard all around the corner.

"It was cool, it was awesome, to hear all the War Eagles and everybody cheer after we got married, that was cool," said Holland.  "It was sweet.   It's something I will always remember.  Very special."

The couple says they have no plans for a honeymoon because Auburn Football comes first.

"We usually save all of our vacation days at work for football season, so we honeymoon every weekend down here," said Holland.  "That's what we do with our vacation time.  We come to football games."
