Auburn, Ala. (WHNT) – While Cameron Artis-Payne racked up the rushing yards at A-Day, his teammate Tre Mason continued to recover from an ankle injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago. Mason was only able to muster 60 rushing yards on 11 carries. Still, Gus Malzahn said he likes how his tailback is progressing.
“That’s really the first work he’s done in live work since he got injured so he wasn’t 100 percent. He got in there and he played hard and did some good things,” said Gus Malzahn, Auburn head coach.
“Gotta stay humble, still have that dream,” said Tre Mason, Auburn running back. “Everyone playing dreams of playing at the next level and I have that dream, and also win championships.”
