DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A state trooper was involved in a hit and run accident on Wednesday afternoon in Decatur.
The trooper was going southbound around a very sharp curve on Chapel Hill Rd. when a red Honda Accord sideswiped him. The car that hit the trooper kept driving.
The trooper lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a muddy field as a result of the crash. Unable to get out of the damaged cruiser, the trooper called for help. The trooper’s cruiser lost a side view mirror, but the trooper was unhurt.
Troopers are actively looking for a red Honda Accord with a broken mirror.
