ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) — A popular Arab restaurant will be closed for the next few days to clean up after an overnight fire.

The Sicilian on Main Street caught fire just after midnight Monday. A passerby saw smoke coming from the restaurant and called 911.

Arab, Joppa and 4C firefighters responded to the scene. When they arrived, fire was coming from the dining room near the buffet. It took firefighters 20 minutes to put it out.

Main Street was closed for an hour and a half following the fire, but is now back open.
