Chattanooga, Tenn. – In the finale of a five-game series against the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Huntsville Stars rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win by a final score of 3-2 on Monday Night at AT&T Field.

Down 2-0 beginning in the first inning, the Stars got a solo home run from first basemen Jason Rogers in the fourth inning to cut the Lookouts lead in half. Then, in the seventh inning, a two-out, two-run single from catcher Robinson Diaz proved to be the difference maker.

Reliever Santo Manzanillo earned his first win of the season, pitching a scoreless sixth inning. Closer Casey Medlen notched his third save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

The Stars have now won four of their first five games of the season and stand alone in first place in the Southern League North.

After a league-wide off day on Tuesday, the Stars will return to Joe Davis Stadium to open up their 2013 home slate on Wednesday when they welcome in the Jacksonville Suns for five games. First pitch is at 6:43 PM.
