FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – A church building in Florence caught fire just after midnight. It happened at the intersection of Glendale and Railroad Avenues.
Crews on the scene say the building was engulfed in flames when they arrived. The fire was put out within 20 minutes. However, the building was destroyed.
Crews say the building had a “Church of Christ” sign, but they could not find the actual name of the church.
They say there were no pews inside, and there was no evidence of power to the building. We’re told they think it may have been unoccupied.
