Shoals Area Crime Stoppers: Elderly Woman Robbed By Masked Men

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) - One teen is behind bars for assaulting and robbing an elderly woman in her sleep.

Florence Police are still looking for two other people they believe helped in the crime.

A grandmother, home alone on McBurnie Drive got a rude awakening when police say she got robbed by intruders.

“Three males came in wearing masks, they grabbed her, pulled her off the bed and demanded money,” said Sergeant Cliff Billingsley with the Florence Police Department.

According to detectives, the men got away with cash and several valuable items.

Blake Austin Hines is behind bars for the crime but police want his alleged accomplices in jail too.

In this week’s Shoals Area Most Wanted, Sheffield Police want Robert Tompkins behind bars for driving under the influence.

Next, detectives say Desmond Thomas has warrants out for his arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Finally police say Christen Reeves is wanted for driving under the influence around the Shoals, on several occasions.
