Police Arrest Two Men at a Decatur Car Wash for Meth

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – On Wednesday, Police arrested two men at the Sandlin Road Car Wash for having a meth lab in their car.
Decatur Police Department observed Kenneth Guthrie and Robert Kolb hiding something under the passenger seat of the vehicle. Officers discovered several items needed for a methamphetamine laboratory in the vehicle.
Investigators from the Decatur Police Departments Organized Crime Unit responded to the scene. Investigators located a one pot methamphetamine lab under the passenger’s seat of the vehicle that was in use.
Guthrie and Kolb were charged with with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree. Guthrie was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Guthrie was processed in the Decatur City Jail and will be later transported to the Morgan County in Jail in lieu of a $5,500.00 bond. Kolb was processed in the Decatur City Jail and will be later transported to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.
