Woman Sentenced In Madison County Escapes From State Custody

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WHNT) – A woman sentenced for theft in Madison County is considered an escapee from the Montgomery Women’s Facility.

Camelia Lataye Douglas is a work release inmate and did not return to the facility from her job site on Thursday.  She was reported missing around 2:45 p.m.

Douglas is a black female, 5′ 9″ and weighs about 260 pounds.  She has brown eyes and black hair.

Douglas was sentenced in Madison County on March 22, 2011, and is serving a 15 year sentence for theft of property.

She had a parole hearing scheduled for April 16, 2013.  Her current sentence was scheduled to expire in June 2015.
