Homeland Security Officers Searching Building In Decatur

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Officers with Homeland Security Investigations are searching a building on 2nd Street in Decatur.

The public information officer with Homeland Security tells WHNT News 19 they are there serving a federal search warrant on counterfeit merchandise such as clothing and handbags.

Bryan Cox says officers have been taking boxes out of the building since 9 a.m today.  Cox said this division of Homeland Security investigates customs, counterfeit claims and interstate exchange.
