If the Huntsville Havoc could beat Augusta one more time and get one more victory in its five remaining regular-season games, they would clinch a playoff spot.

They made things trickier for themselves.

Augusta scored six goals in the second period and hammered the Havoc 6-2.  The team had to pull goalie Dan McWhinney after surrendering all six goals.  Though backup Jesse Kallechy saved all five shots on goal, the Havoc could only counter with tallies from Kyle Laughlin and Paul DAgonstino.

The Havoc will return to the ice Friday night at Fayetteville.
