DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) - The Boys of Summer will be playing for a new league this year.

It became official today, the Little League International sanctioned baseball is coming to the River City.  Decatur's youngest players have been playing in the Cashin-Wheeler League for 50 years.

Switching to the new league will mean higher standards for the playing fields, tougher rules for the teams, and background checks for everyone who comes in contact with the players.
