MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Special needs children of Morgan County and local organizations that house special needs adults are invited to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Special Needs Rodeo on March 21 at the Priceville Celebration Arena.
Activities will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will last until 12 p.m. A rodeo will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The rodeo is not open to the public, it is only for the students, teachers, and organizations that house special needs children and adults.
Inside activities include: Face Painting, Bowling, Dancing, a Dunking Booth, a mechanical bull, Darts, Ring Toss, just to name a few. The outside activities include: pony rides, hayrides, buggy rides, petting zoo, cake walks, karaoke and several bands that will be performing. Local churches will be setting up booths for games and prize giveaways.
The Sheriff's office will feed all attendees and volunteers thanks to donations from local grocers, sponsors, and volunteers.
A contest was held for special needs students of Morgan County to submit designs for the t-shirts and flyers to be handed out at the rodeo. Brittany Harris, of Brewer High School, is the winner this year. Her design will be featured as the icon for the rodeo this year.
