Investigator: Lightning Likely To Blame For House Fire In Toney

TONEY, Ala. (WHNT) – Several firefighters were called to put out a large house fire in Toney earlier Tuesday. The fire destroyed a home at 712 Liberty Hill Road.

The fire was reported at 1:08 p.m. Flames gutted much of the structure.

No one was hurt. Investigator Greg Spruell with Huntsville Fire Rescue said lightning is likely what caused the fire.
