When To Cut The Wild Onions? Here’s The Answer
TENNESSEE VALLEY (WHNT) – Hopefully the temperatures will get more comfortable soon – and when you start to venture out in your lawns, you may see wild green onions popping up.
Every year around this time, we get the question about the best dates to mow the onions to where they won’t come back. Does it actually work? Some people swear by the dates. Others see the weeds come back but hold out hope the trick will work in the future.
According to WHNT News 19′s Robert Reeves, who checked the Farmers’ Almanac, the dates are March 12-13 and April 9-10, 2013.
If you have any luck with this method to get rid of the weeds, we’d love to know. Please post your comments below.
