3 People Injured in Two Car Wreck

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) –Three people are injured after a two car wreck shut down multiple lanes of I-565.

Huntsville Police responded to the wreck just after noon on Sunday.

An SUV and a pick up truck collided on I-565 eastbound, just before the exit ramp for Memorial Parkway. Police say one car pulled in front of the other, causing the crash.

Three people were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic had to be condensed down to one lane, causing back-ups along the highway.
