Shoals Area Crime Stoppers: Men Go Shopping With Stolen Credit Card
FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – Two men go on a shopping spree at the Regency Square Mall in Florence with a woman’s stolen credit card.
Police say the clerk took notice and helped stop the crime but that didn’t keep the men from still racking up a bill.
Florence Police say the shoppers went straight for some expensive clothing at Belk. According to investigators, the two men picked out nearly $900 worth of Ralph Lauren polos and pants.
When they got to the register the clerk realized a woman’s name on the credit card and asked for a PIN.
The men didn’t know the information so they walked away empty handed.
However investigators say the men tried again at a different store and racked up a bill of more than $350 on the stolen card.
This week’s Shoals Area Most Wanted comes from the Russellville Police Department.
A grand jury indicted Florenia Chaney for 20 counts of attempt to commit a controlled substance crime. Chaney is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police also want to find Alan Wright for attempting to commit a controlled substance crime, putting a child in danger, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
If you know where any of these people are, it could be worth a cash reward. Leave an anonymous call on the Shoals Area Crime Stoppers Tipline at 256-386-8685.
