School Flexibility Bill Passes State Senate
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WHNT) – The State Senate passed the School Flexibility Bill, SB-9, on Thursday by a vote of 26-7 with one amendment.
The bill now goes back to the Alabama House. Senator Bill Holtzclaw of Madison sponsored the legislation, which would allow local school systems the ability to opt out of a state-mandated calendar.
