Arab Police Investigate Woman’s Death
ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) – Police in Arab are investigating a woman’s death late Wednesday night.
Chief Ed Ralston said officers responded to a call between 9 and 10 p.m. Wednesday at a house on Pine Lake Trail, and found 54-year-old Teri Williams dead in her bedroom.
Ralston said Williams died from a gunshot wound, and officers believe it was self-inflicted.
Investigators requested an autopsy for confirmation, as well as a Gun Shot Residue test.
Officers interviewed Williams’ husband, who was home at the time of the shooting.
“The husband at this time is not a suspect,” Chief Ralston said.
“We believe we know what happened based on what he has told us, and based on what investigators found, but we want to rule out any possibility of suspicion on his part.”
